The organization Beyond The Streets is leading the “Cozy Christmas Tree Project.” Now in its second year, this effort invites the community to come together by decorating a special tree with donated items to support those in need.

Beyond The Streets’ mission is to provide essential items, combat hunger, and challenge the stigma surrounding homelessness.

As the need for support continues to grow, with more people facing homelessness each week, the Cozy Christmas Tree Project offers a meaningful way for the community to unite and ensure no one is forgotten during the holiday season. Nobody Gets Left Behind!

The NMA award winning Jay Diem Band is a Niagara based group known for performing a mix of classic rock, blues, pop, and country, as well as for their original music, with a growing collection of EPs.

Recognized with multiple awards, including a Niagara Readers’ Choice Award and 3 Niagara Music Awards, each band member brings a unique musical style.

Lead vocalist Jay Stone chats with Pat about their new song, ‘Fallen Soldiers’, which honours military veterans and raises awareness for those suffering from PTSD.

Dennis Diken, founding drummer of The Smithereens, shares the story of a band that has been rocking audiences for over four decades!

Childhood friends Jim Babjak (guitar), Dennis Diken (drums), and Mike Mesaros (bass), from Carteret, New Jersey, formed the band in 1980 with lead singer, the late Pat DiNizio, from Scotch Plains.

One of their many hits, Blood and Roses, and  A Girl Like You, captivated audiences with their infectious sound. As their fame grew, The Smithereens toured coast to coast and internationally, sharing stages with legends like Tom Petty, Lou Reed, and The Pretenders. Dennis reflects on these incredible stories, from their early days to the legacy they continue to build.

The Traveling Milburys perform live shows with hits from the Wilburys collection as well as songs from each artist’s solo careers, delivering a vibrant, authentic experience!

Pat Porter began his career in the Music and Broadcasting Business after studying Advertising, Promotion, and Business at Bowling Green State University and further honing his skills at Fanshawe College in London, Canada, to refine his career direction.

Starting with early morning news at London’s CKSL, Pat’s career progressed through various roles, including an Afternoon Drive shift in Smithers, B.C., and a four year stretch at CFCO in Chatham, Ontario, where he also served as the primary Stock Car Announcer for Raleigh Raceway.

Pat spent a decade at 900 CHML in Hamilton, where he honed his skills in a major market. He then joined The Music Radio Network, a satellite company based in St. Catharines. There, he became the first National Radio announcer, broadcasting evenings across 61 stations and engaging with listeners from St. John’s to Whitehorse, and everywhere in between.

In 2012, Pat moved to 91.7 Giant FM in Niagara, where he spent nearly 11 years leading in Community Relations and Music Promotion, reaching over a million listeners from Buffalo to Toronto and beyond.

This is where his radio partnership with Wrestling’s “Manager of Champions,” Infamous Jay Moore developed. Their insane comedy routine caught on in a big way. Following a station ownership and format change in 2023, Pat and Jay took their Act to Niagara’s online radio 4680q.ca, under music legend Rick Rose, producing weekly podcasts and live radio shows.

Pat is actively involved in community, and regularly appears “live”, hosting events and festivals with Jay Moore, and serves as a spokesperson for Birchway Niagara, providing assistance, support and awareness to help foster a Community without abuse.

Pat has also emceed in the Wrestling Ring at Crossfire and Bordertown Wrestling events and is the 2022 Entertainer of the Year at the Canadian Wrestling Federation, where he appears at events with Jay Moore. Pat has been the regular emcee at Boxing Shows for the St. Catharines Boxing Club for over 5 years.
